You’re well recovered.
A harder session is a good idea today.
Three scores
Know how today should go, at a glance.
FitAir learns your normal over the first days and weeks, then tells you each morning how you compare with it.
Recovery
How ready your body is today, from last night’s heart rate variability, resting heart rate, breathing rate and sleep, compared with your own baseline.
Sleep
How well you slept against what you needed. Your sleep need grows with yesterday’s strain and any sleep debt, and shrinks as you pay it back.
Strain
How hard your heart worked across the day and your workouts, by time in each heart rate zone. The last points are the hardest to earn.
Everything else
More than three numbers.
Tap any score to see what made it. FitAir explains each one in plain language, against your own usual range.
Workouts with live heart rate
Record a workout and watch your heart rate and zones live from the band, with GPS distance outdoors. Save it to Health Connect when you finish.
Sleep stages and a sleep plan
See every night’s stages, your sleep need and debt, and a bedtime and wake time built around full sleep cycles. Hand the alarm to your Clock app in one tap.
A journal that shows patterns
Log mood, caffeine, drinks, travel and notes. After a few days FitAir shows how each habit lines up with your next morning’s recovery and sleep.
Stress and energy through the day
Stress from your heart rate while you’re awake and still, and an energy estimate that charges overnight and draws down as the day goes on.
Trends and training load
Trends for HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and strain against your usual range, plus training load and weekly cardio goals.
Sick days handled
Mark a day sick or injured and it stays out of your baseline, so a bad week doesn’t skew your scores for a month.
How it works
Set up in under a minute.
- 1
Wear your Fitbit Air
Day and night, as usual. It syncs to the Google Health app, which saves your data to Health Connect on your phone.
- 2
Open FitAir
Choose exactly what FitAir may read in Health Connect. It reads up to 90 days back to learn your baseline.
- 3
Check in each morning
Your Recovery, Sleep and Strain are waiting, with what drove them and what to do about it.
Questions
Good to know.
How much does FitAir cost?
Nothing. FitAir is free, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription.
Which phones does it work on?
Android phones running Android 11 or newer, with Health Connect. There’s no iPhone version.
Do I need a Fitbit Air?
FitAir is built around the Fitbit Air and reads what it saves to Health Connect. Other devices that save sleep, heart rate and HRV to Health Connect may work, but they aren’t what FitAir is tuned for.
Is FitAir made by Google or Fitbit?
No. FitAir is an independent app and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Fitbit.
Can I move my data to a new phone?
Not at the moment. To keep the promise that nothing leaves your phone, FitAir’s data isn’t backed up or transferred. Your underlying Fitbit data stays in Health Connect, so FitAir can rebuild your scores from it on a new phone.
Is it a medical device?
No. FitAir’s scores are estimates for general wellness. They don’t diagnose or treat anything; talk to a doctor about any health concerns.
